Employment Equality (Sex Discrimination) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2005These Regulations bring Northern Ireland into line with Scotland, England and Wales in respect of equal treatment of men and women in employment and working conditions. They also bring in definitions of indirect discrimination, harassment and genuine occupational qualifications. It also clarified a previous confusion in the law by providing that discrimination on grounds of pregnancy amounts to unlawful sex discrimination.
